Pick Your Own farms always remind me of being little.
Hopping into Granny & Grandpa's car, going to the nearest PYO place and picking (and eating) the most delicious and ripe berries I could find. I'd inevitably always wear white and return back to my mum covered in strawberry juice, with a large punnet of berries in my hand and a big smile on my face, but that's all part of the fun right?
Having missed the chance to go berry picking last Summer, I convinced Henry to come with me a few weeks ago - When it comes to outdoors-y activities Henry's much more likely to be mowing grass, digging holes and getting muddy than delicately picking ripe raspberries, but with a little convincing, he agreed to come.
We went to Flower Farm in Godstone, the strawberries had all been picked, so we picked some raspberries instead. It's a fun thing to do and you can spend as long or a little as you'd like doing it. Next time I'm going to head to somewhere that has a pick-your-own-anything - Roundstone Farm in Brighton looks pretty epic for all your PYO needs.
Flower Farm's shop is full to bursting with fresh fruits and vegetables, like an explosion of vibrant - and very tasty- colour when you first see it as you walk in. There's also a sweet little cafe for a pot of tea and a slice of cake if the berry picking is just too tiring!
Have you gone fruit picking this Summer?

This is so cute and it reminds me of when I had tons of raspberry bushes in my backyard several years ago :) I haven't gone berry picking since I was really little but this made me want to go again!
