Summer BBQ 2015

You may remember this post from last Summer? Well it's becoming an annual thing! On Saturday I spent one of the hottest days of the year sipping mojitos, scoffing down burgers and laughing with friends all day (and all night) long!
Henry's Mum & I slaved away in the kitchen all morning making salads - all sorts of varieties! - ready to go with the burgers and sausages the boys were going to cook up on the barbie later. I took photos of all of the food on the table, but I was pretty flustered by this point after cooking and preparing, so they won't be making it on here!
Feeling full we all just lazed about in the scorching hot sun. We could not have been luckier with the weather! Saturday was surrounded by days of solid rain, but happened to be one of the hottest days of the year!
We had the croquet set out on the lawn and all enjoyed a few games. I came last playing against Henry, James & Garf... I think last place seems to be tradition for me. Croquet is still not my forte. We played a few games of rounders which was hilarious and the best idea ever!

Henry's team Vs. Georgia & Fran's Team.

Best team won, obviously!
Absolutely exhausted and super sweaty, we went back down to the garden to chill out, drink chilled beers and cocktails and eat even more food. Round 2, of course!
The sun started to set, so we whacked out the fire pit (although, it was still pretty warm out) listened to music, scoffed lemon drizzle and rocky road, chatted and laugh into the early hours.

It was one of those days you wish wouldn't end, such a happy vibe with all your favourite people. Same Time, Next Year?

Get Your Holiday Suitcase Right!

It may be the end of August, but I'm off to Greece next week so I'm just getting into holiday mode. I really wanted to write a 'packing post', so despite September being just around the corner, I though I'd do it anyway. Lets face it, people travel all year round so it'll hopefully still be useful. This is a checklist of everything I can't forget to take on a beach holiday with me. Let me know if I've missed anything super important!
I M P O R T A N T !

The things you will definitely need to remember before you jet off on your holiday.

Passport
Changed Up Money
ID
Any Tickets/Hotel Documents
Visa/Esta (If necessary)
European Health Insurance Card (If necessary)
Medication (If necessary)

Have you got all the important documents you need? Any Medication you have to take? Have you changed up your money?

H A N D  L U G G A G E !

Phone
Purse
Camera
Books/Magazines
Sunglasses
Cardigan/Jumper - Airplanes can get a bit chilly!

Anything you would hate to lose in your luggage (Something very expensive/sentimental, important jewellery etc.)

Remember your liquids should be under 100ml & in a clear plastic bag.

Toiletries - Don't worry... this has its own category.

T O I L E T R I E S !

Sun Cream
After Sun
Shower Gel
Shampoo & Conditioner
Body Scrub/Exfoliating gloves
Razor & Shaving Gel
Hair Products - Sun protection oils are so important on holiday, especially if you're dipping out of pools/the sea all day too.
Insect repellent

Deodorant
Nail Varnish & Remover

I also just uploaded a Huge Holiday Haul to my channel, have you seen it yet?

So all in all, us girls have a hell of a lot to pack for a holiday and every reason to be over the luggage limit, right?

Lavender Fields

You know your Granny is actually Wonder Woman when you show her a photo of a dress made for a 5 year old, tell her you wish it was in an adult size and within a few weeks she's hand made it for you! My Granny has always been very creative and has taught me so much from such a young age, but to see her hand make this dress, with no pattern, is just incredible. She is a very talented Lady. The dress is so beautifully made and fits like a glove.

I don't really want to ramble on in this post, so it'll be slightly more photo heavy, but I think the photos speak for themselves. I thought Lavender Fields would be the perfect back drop to shoot this dress, bright pops of purple with the mellow yellow of the ladylike dress.

Thank you Granny for the most ladylike, perfect Summer Dress!

So, You're Off To University...

It's that time of the year when you've got your results, you've had your big night out to celebrate and now some of you will be heading off to university this September!  I'm going into my third year at uni. It's going so quickly but I'm having the most amazing time with the most wonderful people, so although it seems daunting, please don't worry about a thing!

This is obviously my way of raising a glass to you. Well done! A-levels are officially over. It's Uni Time!

Before I went to university, there was a substantial lack of videos about it on YouTube. So I thought I'd make some advice videos myself!

 Last year I covered:

This Year I'm Talking About:

You can head over to my channel & watch my University Videos on a Playlist by clicking here or on the links above. Or watch my new ones below!

So if you're off in September, I wish you the best of luck and hope you have a fantastic time! If I have helped at least one of you with my tips, that'd be amazing.

Please share these videos with your friends if you find them helpful!
