Sam-iversary #25

How my big brother is 25 I have no idea?!
Every single one of mine and my brother's birthdays involves getting the family together for birthday tea! My mum felt that this year, it was time for a change, to make it a little more grown up, so we had a yummy buffet lunch instead. It was so lovely so see all my family and celebrate Sam's birthday!
Even took out the old home videos, so embarrassing!

I believe this moment was Sam asking what Ethan had drawn next to his name on his birthday card.
Ethan's response? 'A poo'
Obviously!

Ethan's Tea and Coffee charts for my mum, apparently 'M' is for 'mericano' haha!

My lemon drizzle cake was a success! It was so super lemon-y and drizzle-y, which is pretty much all you can want from a lemon drizzle cake, no? I will definitely be making this cake again (Henry's already told me that I can make it at uni!) Check out the recipe here!

10 Things That Made Me Smile This Week

I'm a happy home bunny this week, as I'm home for three weeks between terms at uni!

(I do not own this photo, Original Source Unknown, Found on Tumblr)

1.  Sunshine, Sunshine, Sunshine, SUNSHINE! That is all I need to say.

2. Purchases made whilst shopping recently. It means haul videos to film!

3. Reckless Ambition's new Single 'Crossroads'. It's pretty impressive and I'm super proud of them. If you're into rock music, Download if for FREE here.  If you're not, why not download it anyway? It's free and you never know, you might love it!

4. 'Let's eat naughty food and watch Ja'mie Private School Girl' Mum's words, not mine!

5. Spending the loveliest of days up in London with Henry. Just walking about, taking photos and laughing a lot.

6. Smoked Salmon and Scrambled eggs for breakfast. The breakfast of champions, mmm!

7. The daffodils currently blooming all over the place! It's so pretty to see flashes of yellow everywhere. I'm loving the vase of them currently brightening up my desk space!

8. Cookies and cream KitKats. If you haven't tried one yet, you need too! They are heavenly!

9. Catch up phone calls with my best friend, Charlie. Over two hours long and I could still talk for England.

10. Making Lemon Drizzle Cake for my brothers birthday.I've missed baking, as I don't really have the right utensils at uni. I followed the recipe Tanya Burr and Zoella used in this video. Very easy, very yummy and very lemon-y!

In some frustrating news, my phone has had a meltdown and I've lost some photos I was super excited to put into a blog post. Pretty gutted about that, but, Apple Store service was super impressive & I now have a brand new phone & the knowledge that backing up your phone everyday is probably a good idea...

What's made you smile this week? :)

London Love

Hello!
I spent Wednesday wandering around London with Henry, it was such a lovely day that I thought I'd write about it on here
This is a suuuuper photo heavy post, but I took so many photos that I loved, it was hard to narrow it down! We even made a detour via my house to pick up my camera because I didn't have it with me, so I have to include the photos!

If you haven't tried Bang Bang Chicken from Camden, DO IT. It's seriously the best thing ever and the guy who sells it is pretty cool too, I have a lotta love for the 'Bang Bang Chicken Man'

Henry's Wearing:
Jacket, Cardigan, T-shirt - All Saints
Necklace, Belt - River Island
Jeans - Topman
Boots - He's not sure... possibly Topman!
Sunglasses - Market Stall

I wanted to do an outfit post on what I was wearing, but thought I'd combine the two and put a few more photos of my outfit in this one!

 I'm Wearing:
High Waisted Jeans, Top, Necklace, Handbag - Primark
Boots - New Look
Hat, Rings - H&M
Sunglasses - Market Stall
Leather Jacket - Unknown shop in France about 7 years ago! (Yep, I haven't grown...)
Lipstick - Revlon Colour Burst in Unapologetic

After Camden, we hopped on a tube to Tottenham Court Road and made our way down Oxford Street and by this time the sun was shining brightly and our jackets came off!

We chilled out by Marble Arch for a bit then made our way back to Victoria, laughing a lot and taking lots of photos on the way! You might notice sun flares in photos are a one of my favourite things...

This is what Henry does when you stop to take a gazillion photos of the sunset and the daffodils in Hyde Park... Sorry Hen!

It was so nice spending quality time together and to be in London again, which I don't get to do as often now I'm living in Brighton! We met our friends for drinks when we got home which just topped the day off!

What have you been doing to make the most of the nice weather recently? :)

Happy St. Patricks Day!

For some reason, I always remember that I took this photo on St. Patricks Day last year, I don't know why but it really sticks in my head.
The photo just makes me really happy, a perfect Spring Breakfast on a lazy sunday morning!
So I thought I'd share it on here!

What are you up to today?

Wish/Want/Need 001

Hello there!
I really enjoy reading and looking at peoples Wishlist or at what they're lusting after! I thought I'd give it a go myself. Being a student means I can't just buy everything I want when my student loan comes in, I have to spend carefully. So, I shall just have to vent my wants/needs on here!

1. Sweet Cecily's Mojito Lip Balm. I am an absolute sucker for a Mojito (Any cocktail in fact...) but mojitos are a personal favourite! I definitely will be treating myself to this one...
2. Tanya Burr's Lip Gloss (Available online at Feel Unique or Superdrug. In stores soon!) I am dying to try these lip glosses. I'm not usually a huge lip gloss person, more a lip stick kinda girl, but these look lovely and everyone is raving about them! I want to try 'Picnic In The Park' and 'Aurora'. I have way too many nail varnishes to justify buying any Tanya Burr ones, but they may just to be an exception...
3. Deep Sleep Pillow Spray by This Works. Mind traffic seems to be a problem nearly every night with me. I switch everything off, settle down to relax and my mind goes crazy. This sounds perfect and relaxing to me, so I'd love to give it a try.
4. Poppy Strappy Sandals in Floral Print From Missguided. I just think in Summer, with white jeans, a bright, yet plain and simple top with bright nail varnish on your toes these would look perfect. Simple, yet stylish.
5. Smock Dress with Baby Deer Print from ASOS. I spotted this beauty in one of Zoella's recent videos  'How To: Halo Braid' and absolutely loved it. I'm really fond of the interesting print, but I'm not sure if the style will suit me, as I normally prefer things that go in at my waist. I'm willing to risk the purchase though, it's gorgeous!
6. Instax Mini 8 Camera by Fujifilm. Oh boy, I am so tempted. The only thing putting me off is how expensive the film is. I need to think long and hard about this one!
7. Forest Green Culotte Shorts from Topshop. I saw a friend wearing these recently, they looked amazing and they were so flattering! I've got a small waist and big hips, so this style is good for my figure. I like that they're shorts, but do look like a skirt. Might try a pair on next time I'm in Topshop!

What are you lusting over?

Sunny Sunday Afternoon

You know those days where you are just so happy? Everything is going well, the sun is shining and you're surrounded by people you love. I may have had an awful hangover all day (Okay, I totally did. But it was all self inflicted, so I can't complain...) but the sun beaming down soon made me forget about it.

The day wasn't particularly crammed full with new and exciting things, just a few things that really made me smile.
The day started off with a yummy breakfast, then strawberry lemonade from Costa, playing in the garden with Henry's doggy, Milo, a funny drive back to Brighton, then an afternoon spent lying on the beach soaking up the sun.

Wearing:
Forever 21 Tortoise Shell Sunglasses
My new Mint Green jumper from New Look
My favourite Bourjois lipstick in Peach On The Beach!

I'm not a dog person, but I've recently developed a soft spot for this little one, Milo. Look how handsome he is! This doesn't happen often and I still don't like muddy paws, claws or slobber...

I always forget to use my 'Hipstamatic' Camera App on my phone, so took the opportunity to experiment with some photos with that on this fine day.

The sunset was absolutely beautiful, it's times like that I wish my big girl camera folded up into a tiny box that I could take everywhere, but alas, this is not the case, so the iPhone with 1% battery had to suffice.

And to top it all off, a friend took a photo of Henry and I on the beach that I absolutely love and will be putting in a frame for my room straight away! We just both look so happy, and it's so rare we get a photo that we both really like!

What did you spend Sunny Sunday doing?
