10 Things That Made Me Smile This Week!

This is my '10 Things That Made Me Happy This Week' post, slightly renamed. If you can think of a better name, please leave it in the comments! It's a slightly stressful time with university work at the moment, so it felt good to focus on the good things from my week whilst writing this post!

(I do not own this image. Source Unknown)

1. The sun has been shining! Can we have Spring now please? and then a lovely hot summer? I can't wait for summer in Brighton, summer by the beach!

2. The pretty and bright flowers I pass every day on my way to uni.

3. I have rekindled my love for Candy Crush.. oopsie. Thank goodness for the five lives and then you have to wait rule, otherwise i'd never put my phone down!

4. I loved Tanya Burrs post '10 Things I Want To Do'. A really lovely and positive post that was really enjoyable to read. Go and read it for yourselves!

5. Purchasing the cutest jar for my teabags from Home Sense. It is super cute!

6. Daring to wear black and white high waisted printed trousers the other night. My legs are not exactly something I want attention drawn too when i'm putting an outfit together, so these trousers were a big risk for me, but I want to build my confidence and get over silly little things like that. I wore them with my new black heeled boots and a black crop top, I actually felt great! More on this and an outfit post to follow!

7. Having a very productive saturday. The sun was shining, so I flung my window wide open, put on some music and had an extremely productive Saturday. I had to-do list longer than my arm so it felt great ticking things off!

8. My Mad Fat Diary is back on our TV screens. Something to look forward too on a monday!

9. Scrolling through my tumblr blog. As much as I love scrolling on my dashboard. It makes me happy to go through my own tumblr, with the photos I've reblogged. It's just a collection of photos and thing I absolutely love and it makes me so happy!

10. Collection Lasting Colour Lipstick in 'Mango Tango'. It's a bright coral/orangey/pink & only £2.99! I love it!

Also, I need some help! I'm really tempted to treat myself to a Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 camera (I've been given some money to treat myself to something & I have always wanted a polaroid camera) but I just don't know if it's worth it? Film will end up being expensive, so I need some opinions as to whether I should get it or not!

What has made you happy this week?

Home Sweet Home: Fearne Cotton's Very Range

Hello!
I'm very sorry this post wasn't up on Sunday, it's assessment time at uni and I've been super busy with rehearsals and what not.

I thought I would share my love for Fearne Cotton's Very SS14 Homeware Range.
  IT. IS. BEAUTIFUL.
Just how I would love my home to be decorated. Cool & quirky with intricate prints, bright colours, bold florals and funky shaped furniture.

You can purchase the beautiful blue and white wallpaper from Graham & Brown here. I love it, perfect for a feature wall!

This is my favourite look, perfect mix of colours and clashing patterns.

(I do not own any of these images)

Just look at all that beauty!
PLEASE can someone give me loads of money to buy myself a house and then this whole collection of home-ware... Please and thank you. Although I can't buy the furniture pieces, I'm very tempted to purchase some bedding!

What are your favourite pieces in this collection?

A Blog Series: Home Sweet Home

Hello there beauties!
I do not own this image. Source Unknown

Living in a student flat, you can't really decorate or make it 'homey'. I am forever thinking about when I can finally have a little house/flat that I can call my own and make it how I'd like it. I read blogs about making a house a home all the time and I get so jealous because I want to do that right now!

Although I can't make my flat nice, I can make my bedroom lovely and just how I like it, and I have. My room is full of little things I love; photos, candles, cute and interesting books and fairy lights. As part of this 'Home Sweet Home' series I will be filming a Room Tour so keep your eyes peeled for that!

So, as I can only lust over things I'd put in my own house, I thought I'd start a blog/vlog series! You can expect to see room inspiration, storage ideas, wish/want lists and haul of bits and pieces I pick up for my room. Luckily a lot of things I see (unless they're kitchen or bathroom things) will work in my room.. or at least I will find a way to make them work! (I definitely get this from my mum whose job is in interior design!)

Check back on Sunday for the next 'Home Sweet Home' post!

Nothing Beats Movies & Pizza!

Hello!
Valentines day was spent being super lazy, eating lots and watching films! Just thought I'd share a few photos from the day. They're not the greatest of photos, seriously bad natural light and I wasn't really focusing on getting great photos, just a few for the memories!

I woke up early to make us both pancakes. I totally cheated and bought a mix and, even then, still managed to fail miserably. They were edible and tasted fine, but look like pancakes they did not... I've decided I will master the art of pancake making in 2014!

My presents to Henry. Yes, it does look like I've done a weekly shop for him... But I decided to buy him some of this favourite things!

My presents from my lovely man. We both got each others mugs so tea was on constant flow that day!

I think I'm still full from all the pizza... it was so good though!

As soppy as it is, Henry makes me super happy and I'm a very lucky girl!
What did you get up to on Valentines Day?

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day you lovely lot!

But a very special Happy Valentines Day to my man, Henry.

So, we planned a day to Lewes for Valentines Day, maybe have some lunch at 'Bills' and then have a cosy night in. But when I woke up this morning, ready to go to get some ingredients to make some pancakes for breakfast, even just walking across the road to the shop left me absolutely soaked, so we decided we might have to venture to Lewes another day!

So it looks like a cosy day in for us. I think we should watch films and bake cookies and have a takeaway this evening, sounds like an ideal day to me!

There'll definitely be some photos, so I'll upload them sometime this week.
What would you do on a rainy day?

I hope you are having a lovely day, whoever you are with, wherever you are!

ChoccyWoccyDooDah, Bar Du Chocolat!

After reading Niomi's (Lady Smart) blog post on this place (read it here!) , I had to go there myself. Being a complete chocoholic and living in Brighton, I don't know why I didn't know about this place before! With the horrible weather we've been having, I've constantly got cravings for a lovely hot chocolate to warm me up! (Although, I must admit, hot chocolate is one thing I tend to regret afterwards... it's so sweet and filling, it can be too much sometimes!)

I really wanted to go to 'Bar Du Chocolat' so we set aside sometime in our day to go there. The decor is super cool with non-matching furniture, heart shaped chairs, funky coloured walls and vintage looking lampshades everywhere. The menu pretty much consists of chocolate, cake and ice cream, so if you are a dessert person, this is you kind of place! I opted for a Hot Chocolate and Henry went for a Vanilla Milkshake, both tasted amazing! I may have got a little snap happy with the photos... but it just looked so good! I was with my boyfriend, but I didn't get a photo of him, there were a lot of people there at the time so I thought I'd save him the embarrassment!

Super, super tasty!

Hidden marshmallows under the mountain of whipped cream!

(All photos taken on my iPhone)

It is made all the better when you go to pay and your wonderful boyfriend pays for the both of you before you get the chance, thank you Henry!

I'd seriously recommend this place to anyone who is a chocoholic, it's seriously great! Make sure you walk around the corner to the ChoccyWoccyDooDah shop to check out their amazing and creative cakes!

Things To Remember...

Hey!
Came across this whilst I was scrolling on Tumblr, wanted to share it on my blog.

I think it's important to remember things like this, even though some of them are simple, they can easily be forgotten.

Happy Wednesday Lovelies!

10 Things That Made Me Happy This Week

I think this is my favourite post to write. It makes me focus on what makes me happy and the good things that happened this week.

(I do not own this image, Source Unknown)
1. Easter chocolate being on the shelves. It's early, yes, but who doesn't love Creme Egg season?

2. Filming my first vlog. Nerve wracking and scary, but I did it! Watch it here!

3. Fentimans Rose Lemonade. It's so refreshing!

4. Having sushi for lunch or dinner. I'd eat it for every meal if I could! Healthy and super tasty.

5. Having a night with an Indian takeaway and scary films with the boys & Bea. It was nice not being the only girl telling the boys to shut up during the films ha!

6. My new Urban Outfitters Coat. £125 reduced to £35... I couldn't say no!

7. Zoe's video for Tanya Burr to say congratulations for the Lipgloss and Nail Varnish range. It's the cutest thing and put a big smile on my face. Watch it here!

8. Painting my nails mint green and my toes bright orange... It's only February and I'm already anticipating spring/summer!

9. Spending some time with my little brother last weekend. He made 'charts' all on his own and stuck them on the wall... 'Henree' was in his good books, lots of ticks! 'Go' (said 'Jor'... a cute attempt at my name) had a lot of crosses... what have I done?!

10. Sundays. I don't like the looming Monday, but the laziness of sundays is my favourite. Sunday was spent slouched in a bean bag, leggings and a comfy jumper on, watching the rugby, flitting between writing blog posts and my university essay with a hot chocolate in hand.

What's made you smile this week?

Jewellery & Accessories Haul

hello!

My January Shopping Haul!
Oh wow. Vlogging is SO much harder than it looks! I was so nervous, which I'm sure comes across in the video, but I'm hoping the more I vlog, the more confident I will get. Any tips or tricks are welcome, but be nice, I'm new to this!

As I mentioned in the vlog, I have done lots of shopping this month. Here are some of the accessories and pieces of jewellery I have purchased!

These rings were £1 for all 3 in New Look! For some strange reason, all my cross rings have disappeared, so I was very happy to come across these!

These three beauties were from Accessorize. As I have mentioned in a blog post before, I will one day have draw after draw filled with rows of beautiful rings... so purchasing 7 rings on one day didn't seem too extreme. I absolutely love these rings and I got 70% off, so I couldn't say no! I got them for £2.40!

This double ring was 50p from Primark so a super bargin! I used to have a silver cross two finger ring that has disappeared somewhere so it's nice to have a replacement.

My favourite purchase, also from Accessorize for only £3.60. I decided I don't wear enough bracelets, normally due to that fact I choose a necklace, I choose my rings accordingly depending on what necklace (gold, silver, rose gold etc...)  so by the time I get to bracelets I'm fed up of trying to match things and I give up! But I want to start wearing more of them. I love the iridescent green that runs throughout the bracelet and I haven't taken it off since I got it. Although, I am hoping it doesn't fall off though, as it is only magnets holding it on!

This was also to start off the bracelet collection. A simple pyramid stud bracelet in silver that was £1.80 from Accessorize!

This bag is from Asos, £12 in the sale! It's a black satchel with gold studs and scalloped edges. I haven't stopped using it since it arrived. It's the perfect size to fit everything I need in it! Seems to fit a lot more than it looks too, which is always handy! You can buy it here!

I hope you enjoyed this little winter sales jewellery and accessories haul!
What bargins have you bought in the sales?
Link me to any of your blog posts or youtube videos about it, I'd love to see them!
